In addition, this job will involve nightly online production, with responsibilities including:
Producing and posting daily newsroom content with an attention to detail and readability (concise headlines and text blocks, well-edited photos, appropriate links to related content, attention to SEO).
Producing and maintaining content such as photo galleries, audio, video, reader discussions, databases and other multimedia and interactive packages.
Working with editors and reporters to post breaking news stories quickly and accurately, and enhancing them with digital content.
Helping to build and maintain special digital sections and news packages.
Helping reporters and editors learn new skills that will contribute to Journal Sentinel multimedia storytelling and user interaction.
Strategizing on the best use of social media to promote Journal Sentinel content and interact with readers.
NOTE: This position is primarily nights and will include weekend shifts.
