2014 Fall Paid Photo Internship
Virginia Tech
Visual and Broadcast Communications at Virginia Tech is
seeking an energetic, motivated, enthusiastic still photographer
who has a creative eye to fill our 16 week paid ($6,000) Fall
(Aug-Dec) internship. The intern will be joining the three person
photo staff. The position is open to current students and recent
graduates.
This is an excellent opportunity to build a portfolio shooting
diverse assignments including our major campus magazines
(Alumni, Research, Corps of Cadets Review, International
Outreach, Science, and Business Magazines to name a few). In
addition we shoot ACC Fall sports, features, studio, campus
news (for publications and the web) as well as photo
stories/pages for print and web.
Portfolios should showcase quality and diverse images. Strong
location lighting skills are a plus. Applicants should exhibit
technical proficiency and be experienced with digital workflow.
Experience using digital SLR cameras and Photoshop with Mac
computers is necessary.
