Paid Photography internship, Hartford Courant (Hartford, Conn.)

The Hartford Courant is offering a paid photo internship for summer 2014. This is one of the best-respected photo publications in the U.S.
The deadline to submit material is Friday, January 31.

The Courant’s internship ($330 week) begins in June and lasts approximately 11 weeks. The internship is open to current students or recent graduates. Photo intern applicants should submit a portfolio demonstrating a strong ability to create compelling stories and images in both still and multimedia formats.

Applicants need to have a basic camera kit and reliable transportation.

Application materials, including a CD or DVD portfolio along with resume and references should be sent to:
Mike Piskorski
Chief Photographer/Director of Integrated Photography
CT 1 Media
285 Broad Street
Hartford, CT 06115

The Courant is a great place to learn with a rich history of photography. The newsroom is now integrated with a television station, so it is an opportunity to see how that works as well. Hartford is also located 2 hours from New York and Boston, giving interns the opportunity to travel on days off during their time there.
