The Obama campaign is seeking an intern to be based in the campaign’s Chicago headquarters office. This position will be heavily focused on constituency press stories and activities including, but not limited to stories and projects focused on African Americans, women, young people, veterans and members of the LGBT community. The ideal candidate will be able to dedicate at least 25 hours a week to the position. All internships are unpaid, but interns are encouraged to utilize the internship for school credit.


-Strong interest in Democratic politics/campaigns

-Previous communications experience (internship or professional)

-Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills

-Highly motivated to work on independent projects

– Strong organizational skills
