Interns and freelancers needed: Columbia, SC

Political campaign season in South Carolina is heading into full swing as we are approaching the June Primary Elections and the General Election in November, and public relations and graphic design play an integral roll in  campaign development and the messaging of candidates.
First Tuesday Strategies (FTS) is a Columbia, South Carolina based political and grassroots consulting firm with a proven record of winning results for its candidates and corporate clients at the state and national level. Our partners Warren Tompkins and Luke Byars have over 50 years combined experience running campaigns in South Carolina and across the United States.  The firm has extensive experience working with earned media, social media, new media, direct mail, marketing, television production, radio production, ad buying, web video production and most notably general campaign consulting. We specialize on grassroots campaigns, political campaigns and corporate development.  Over the years, First Tuesday Strategies has played key rolls in countless campaigns, including those of Mitt Romney, Senator Jim DeMint, Senator Lindsey Graham, Congressman Trey Gowdy, the South Carolina Republican Party, and numerous State Senate and State House races.
For Graphic Design students, First Tuesday Strategies is looking to hire individuals looking to gain first-hand experience designing mail, logos, social media advertising and components, and in web design.  These internship are both paid and non-paid, and the length of the internship may range from now to June 26th (the date of the Primary Runoff Elections), through the Summer or beyond depending on the internship candidate.
For Public Relations students, First Tuesday Strategies is looking to hire communications students eager to gain public relations experience in the fast-paced, rough-and-tumble world of South Carolina politics.  Interns will be able to gain experience writing press releases and communicating with local media, managing candidates’ social media presence, messaging, developing a candidate’s brand and image through mail and other paid media, and take part in multi-facetted campaigns.
Interns will be given the creative reins on projects under the leadership of experienced staff.  They value insight and work ethic, and interns will be able to build relationships with staff and clients.
