There is a full-time reporter opening at the Boonville Daily News, the hometown newspaper for Boonville, Mo.
It’s a small town paper focusing on hyper-local, timely articles in the Cooper County/Boonslick area. Since the staff is small, you’ll get a great opportunity to get web, social media and multimedia experience.
Boonville is a city with a lot going on at the moment — a community college coming to town, a contested City Council election with a lot of drama and an unfunded EPA-mandated wastewater project, to name a few — so there’s nary a dull moment.
They’re looking for someone who is willing to wear a lot of different hats, juggle projects and keep a finger to the area’s pulse. Design skills (InDesign & Quark) are a big bonus, as are iMovie, video recording, web and photo skills.
Salaried full-time positions come with benefits.
Please send a copy of your resume, a cover letter and clips (and/or any questions) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
