NASCAR photographer on campus January 17 [location update]

The USC Student Chapter of NPPA kicks of the spring semester with Sam Cranston of Charlotte, NC.

Presentation Tuesday Jan. 17 at 7pm in Russell House 305.

Sam Cranston documents NASCAR from behind the scenes in his job as Photo Editor for www.scenedaily.com , and for NASCAR Illustrated.

Cranston’s images of the auto industry are captivating. For years, he led the photo staff at Daytona Beach News-Journal, where the world revolves around the Daytona 500.

Cranston will share his insights about various aspects of the photo industry as a photographer and manager for newspapers and magazines, as well as working independently. He is well known for being a strong mentor to young photographers.
